Itinerary
Full-day hike on Mount Etna starting from Rifugio Citelli, at about 1700 meters of altitude.
Hike on Mount Etna for a full experience on the highest active Volcano in Europe!
The hike will last for about 5 hours, the level is intermediate/sportive, and it covers a
distance of about 6/7 km.
It has been suited for adults and children over 8 years old.
Starting from the meeting point, we’ll climb up to more than 2000 meters a.s.l.
We’ll admire the big caldera called “Valle del Bove” and the summit craters eruptive activity from very close. If the time permits, we’ll also explore a lava cave.
Amazing landscapes and interesting path in the nature will accompany you for the whole experience. The guide will describe you both geological and botanical peculiarities. The descent will be a very funny run on lava sand and lapilli!
The hike will be in small groups, with a professional guide speaking Italian, French, English and Spanish.
