The largest part of the structure actually lies under!, nearby via Neve, via Manzoni, via del Colosseo and via Penninello, as, soon after the 1693 earthquake , its ruins were used as foundations for some buildings that overlook the square.

It’s one of the main baroque monuments of the city. The church is distinguished by its magnificent facade, with patterns of concave and convex lines, and the impressive octagonal dome, which dominates the building.
