Piazza Bra is the center of the social life in Verona. The square is overlooked by the majestic Arena and by Palazzo Barbieri, the City Hall. From there it is also possible to see the Palazzo Gran Guardia and the Museo Lapidario.

This incredible Roman amphitheater was built during the 1st century AD. The name “arena” refers to the sand that covered the stage where the gladiators fought. As of today, it is still used for public shows and concerts.

Porta dei Borsari was the former main entrance point to the city. This Roman gate was originally called Porta Jovia, as it was dedicated to Jupiter, but was renamed Porta dei Borsari as it was here that the travelers had to pay the tax to enter the city.

Herb’s square is the ancient Roman forum of the city. In the center of the square you can see the fountain of Madonna Verona, a monument representing the city as a beautiful woman. Today, the square is an important meeting place for the locals, old and young.

This 84-meter high tower was erected by the Lamberti Family in the late 12th century. Ask our guide about the two bells dating back to 1295: the Rengo and the Marangona.

Juliet’s House is a must-see for all visitors to the city who want to see the romantic side of Verona. Dating back to the late 13th century, this tower house displays a bas-relief of a hat that, according to tradition, is the coat of arms of the Capulet Family. We will stop outside in the garden, without entering.

Also called Piazza Dante, for the statue dedicated to the most important Italian poet, Piazza dei Signori is framed by various important buildings, such as the Palazzo della Ragione and the Palazzo Podestà. This is where you will say goodbye to your guide.
