Stop At: Museo Conte, Via Santa Maria in Chiavica 3/C c/o Antica Tipografia Artistica Arche Scaligere, 37121, Verona Italy

The Conte Museum was born in October 2006 to safeguard the historical and cultural heritage of the Arche Scaligere Typography, purchased by the Conte family in 1934 and existing in the same premises since 1750, also recognized by the Municipality of Verona as a Historical Workshop and Unesco heritage in 2004 for the high historical and cultural value.

Within this reality there are movable type, typographic machinery and various equipment for chalcographic and letterpress printing belonging to various historical periods (from the seventeenth century to today). All of this is still fully functional and used today to produce valuable printed matter and artistic works.
You will be explained the artisan production processes, as well as the operation of the machinery and their history.
