the day starts with a visit to one of Modena’s oldest traditional balsamic vinegar families. Here the owner Francesco will welcome you, touring his vineyards and seeing all the stages of production from the pressing of grapes to the barrel aging.
The experience includes plenty of vinegar samples and you’ll taste some very old vinegars, more then 50 y.old, too.
As this family are also olive oil producers, you will also do a proper olive oil tasting. Delicious lunch directly at the terrace overlooking the valley.
In the afternoon you’ll visit an outstanding family- run winery, where the producer in person Fabio will host you in his beautiful estate, and you will taste his wines on a panoramic terrace.
