What makes Venice Cicchetti & Spritz Food Tour in Cannaregio with Dinner a unique experience ?
Join our tour of the Cannaregio Quarter in Venice! We’ll meet near the famous Teatro Italia, a symbol of artistic excellence. Your English-speaking guide, who is a food enthusiast, will be excited to welcome you. In a small group of no more than 10 people, you’ll explore the charming Cannaregio district’s hidden alleys visiting a multitude of food stop along the way.
Within the Canareggio district you’ll find the charming Jewish Ghetto. Even though facing restrictions, the Jewish residents of the Venetian Ghetto built a lively community that excelled in intellect, economy, and art. Our food tour will take you through this area, offering a chance to see a more genuine and less touristy side of Venice.
When exploring Venice, remember two key words—cicchetti and Bacari. Cicchetti are tasty bite-sized snacks, and Bacari are charming wine bars where you’ll find these delights. During our first stop, let our guide lead you into a local Bacari where you’ll be introduced to some of these tasty bites, and get introduced to the history and taste of a true Venetian Select Spritz.
After a walk through the Canareggio neighborhood, its time for our second stop.
Here you’ll have the chance to sample more local delights, and enjoy a glass of Italian wine known as an ”ombra” as your guide provides more insight on Italian traditions and culture.
At our third stop, truly immerse yourself in the warm atmosphere of Venetian hospitality. As you enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner, featuring some of the best pasta in the city, let the flavours dance on your tongue. It’s not just about the food; it’s about experiencing Italy in its most authentic way.
No Italian food tour is complete without real Italian gelato! Your guide will take you to a top gelato shop to uncover the secrets of authentic gelato. Learn about seasonal flavors and what makes gelato different from ice cream. After the tour concludes, your guide can suggest other places to visit or help you find a water taxi back to your hotel.
