What to Expect When Visiting Varenna, Lombardia, Italy
We will enjoy the stunning view of Lake Como from different panoramic points and feel the perfect balance between nature and man presence, typical of this area. The hike will end with an Italian aperitivo in front of the lake.
We will meet at the Ferry Terminal in Varenna, we will start our loop hike and reach the Viandante trail, the ancient route along the east side of Lake Como that used to connect Milan to the alpine valleys and to Switzerland. We will pass through the high part of Varenna and its ancient hamlets and cross forests, by mule tracks, paths and narrow streets, with amazing views of Lake Como most of the time! We will enjoy the sunset having an Italian aperitivo and then go back to the starting point.
