Day 1: BARI

Day 2: MATERA & BARI
Stop At: Matera, Matera, Province of Matera, Basilicata
Breakfast and departure for Matera, considered one of the most suggestive places in southern Italy. It was declared Unesco Site on 1993 and Italian host for the European Capital of Culture 2019. The visit with a licensed local guide will take us to discover the history of a town carved into rock, where inhabitants still lived until the XX century. The itinerary includes a visit to a cave-like house recently opened to the public, and to ancient rupestric churches and cisterns. A really unique and suggestive experience.

At 6.00 pm street food tour with a licensed local guide. Capital of Puglia, Bari boasts the presence of the Basilica of San Nicola, an important example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. This church is included amongst the most important places of worship in the world, where Catholic and Orthodox worships blend together. Our street food tour will bring you in the old Bari, where time seems to have stopped: ladies who everyday, seated outside their houses, prepare the “orecchiette” pasta. We’ll have the chance to taste the local “focaccia” and “sgagliozze”, typical specialities of Bari.

Day 3: POLIGNANO & MONOPOLI
Stop At: Polignano a Mare, Polignano a Mare, Province of Bari, Puglia
Breakfast and transfer to Polignano a mare for a relaxed walking tour. Polignano a Mare, the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, is characterised by a breathtaking landscape, thanks to its territorial morphology.
The old town is perched on a rocky headland overlooking the sea and thanks to the beautiful terraces it’s possible to admire sea caves and natural creeks carved into the rock by waves over time. The old town hides an amazing Cathedral and narrow alleys that always lead to the sea. Free time for lunch.

Transfer to Monopoli and check in hotel 4 star in the city center Palazzo Indelli or similar. (2 nights)

Day 4: ALBEROBELLO, LOCOROTONDO & OSTUNI VALLE D’ITRIA
Stop At: Ostuni, Ostuni, Province of Brindisi, Puglia
Breakfast and transfer to Ostuni. Also called “La Città Bianca”, Ostuni stands out for its characteristic historic center with totally white painted houses, which the Apulian sun makes brighter. You will be guided by a local tour guide in this strategic place from which you can admire the incredible expanse of olive trees bordered by the deep blue sea. The Cathedral also represents the most important monument of the city in its Romanesque-flowered style.

Transfer to Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful villages of italy and is in the suggestive valle d’itria, better known as the trulli valley. White houses with roof of buildings with dry stones characterize its historical center that hosts the church of san giorgio, the church of the madonna of the greek from the xviii century, the tower of the clock and the panoramic terrace from where you can admirate cisternino and martina franca, nearby cities, and the valley rich of oliv trees. Free time for lunch

Departure for The “not to be missed” stop-over for every new visitor to Puglia, Alberobello has a fairy-tale charm like no other place. The trulli are an important example of rural architecture that still survives today. The local guide will show you also the panoramic view on Rione Aia Piccola with its infinite expanse of conical roofs. Return to Monopoli and free evening
