Path of the 13 Churches

Polvica Trip Overview

You don’t know a place if you don’t understand its history and its true soul. Those who love to travel, in the true sense of the word, or rather discovering the secrets of the place they visit, cannot miss an excursion into the history of Amalfi. This is the Path of the 13 Churches, a path that winds through the villages of Tramonti, one of the Amalfi pearls.
When you think of the Amalfi Coast, in addition to the city of Amalfi, towns such as Maiori, Minori and Atrani immediately come to mind.
But inside there is Tramonti, known for giving its name to the Tramontana wind.
The particularity of Tramonti is linked to its territorial organization. Unlike many historic urban centers, consisting of a village surrounded by many small hamlets, Tramonti is organized into thirteen villages arranged in a circular manner around the Colle Santa Maria.
The appointment is at 08:30 departure for the Path that will allow you to visit the whole Tramonti area.

Stop At: 84010 Polvica, SA, Italy

You don’t know a place if you don’t understand its history and its true soul. Those who love to travel cannot miss an excursion into the history of Amalfi. This is the Path of the 13 Churches, a path that winds through the villages of Tramonti, one of the Amalfi pearls and so named for having given its name to the Tramontana wind. Tramonti was organized in thirteen villages arranged in a circular manner around the Colle Santa Maria. Each town had its church, its square and its fountain. Today the 13 churches of these villages are intact and offer the opportunity to learn about the evocative history of these territories.

Since the villages are arranged in a circular way, there is no precise order for the start of the path. We will leave from Pucara the nearest village to Maiori and the best connected by public transport. The appointment is at 08:30 departure for the Path, returning to the same point by taking a circular tour and tasting typical products.
