As you travel, while you relax on your assigned seats, your guide will share insights into the devastating eruption that buried Pompeii in 79 AD and much more.
Upon arriving in Naples, we’ll take the Circumvesuviana, a regional train network that runs around Mount Vesuvius, for an authentic local experience you’ll cherish as a memorable part of your Italian adventure.
Once in Pompeii, you’ll have two hours to explore the archaeological site at your own pace. With entry tickets and maps provided, you can navigate key landmarks like the Forum, temples, and markets. Optionally, you can hire audioguides or arrange a guided tour with a licensed guide through us. You can also join your tour leader for lunch and savor the famous Italian pizza.
After Pompeii, we’ll travel back to Naples, considered one of Italy’s most beautiful coastal cities. Follow your guide through historic streets and squares, including Via Toledo, before enjoying some free time to wander, soak up the atmosphere, or visit renowned museums at your own pace
We will walk through the old city center, passing by Spaccanapoli street, San Gregorio market, and Piazza del Gesù.
If time allows, we’ll continue to Piazza Plebiscito, San Carlo’s Theatre, Galleria Umberto I, Maschio Angioino, and more. Be prepared for plenty of walking and a chance to burn off those pizza calories.
Satisfied and happy, we’ll return to the station to catch our high-speed train back to Roma Termini, with an expected arrival between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
