Step inside the Mamertine Prison, Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul were both imprisoned here and many of the prisoners were baptized and converted during their time inside. After being brought before Emperor Nero, St. Paul was acquitted of the charges.

Visit The Church of St. Paul alla Regola, whose location is over the house where the Saint wrote some of his apostolic letters.

Visit the Abbey of the Three Fountains. During his second time as a prisoner in Rome, Saint Paul was martyred, as his head bounced three times on the floor three outflows of water miraculously sprung. Their miraculous water used to be collected by people until pollution forced them to close the springs.

End with the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, the tomb of the Saint is located in this magnificent basilica.

Tre Fontane Abbey also known as the Abbey of Saints Vincent and Anastasius stands on the site where St Paul was beheaded. At each of the three points his head bounced once beheaded a spring of water emerged, one hot, one tepid and one cold. Three fountains are featured in the church enclosed by black marble shrines, placed on different levels. Believed to be miraculous, water from these fountains used to be distributed for the faithful until the 1950 when the spring had to be closed due to pollution. The column where St. Paul was bound before being executed is also in this religious site.
