Itinerary

This hike will lead us to the discovery of a fascinating area of Ogliastra, rich with peculiar plants and herbs of the Mediterranean scrub (oak, juniper, strawberry tree, phyllirea , heather, myrtle, mastic, to name just a few) and we will visit three complexes of Domus de Janas (Fairies’ houses) – hypogeic tombs carved out of granite – evidence of anthropic presence already in the pre-nuraghic age (dating back to the III millennium b.c.). There will also be opportunities to take beautiful photographs.
It is a medium difficulty hike on non-dangerous paths and without cliff exposed passages. For this reason, it is suitable for anyone in good physical condition, including children aged 8 years and over.
The packed lunch – which each participant will take care of – will be consumed during a break along the way, before completing the track to return to the starting point.

– Path length: 8 km
– Gradient: +/- 400 m
– Highest point: 380 m above sea level
– Lowest point: 10 m above sea level
– Difficulty level: E (hiking)
