Piazza del Campo is the main square of the Siena, here you will admire the Palazzo Pubblico (seat of the town hall).
Discover the history and legends of the famous horse race “Palio” and learn about the districts “Contrade”

One of the oldest private building of the city

Stop At: Palazzo Salimbeni, Piazza Salimbeni 3, 53100, Siena Italy
Palazzo Salimbeni is the headquarter of the oldest public bank of Europe. You will cross the ancient Via Banchi di Sopra, which is part of the Via Francigena, one of the most important pilgrim’s road starting from northern Europe.

Stop At: Basilica Cateriniana Di S. Domenico, Piazza San Domenico, 53100, Siena Italy
Then you will arrive to the Basilica of San Domenico, which hosts in the chapel on the right side of the nave the holy relic of St. Catherine’s head. You will admire important frescoes by Sodoma, which decorate the chapel.

Afterwards you will visit the Sanctuary of St. Catherine, where she used to life with her big family. The oratories are decorated with stunning paintings from different periods, which tell Catherine’s life story.

You will admire from the outside the enchanting and unique Siena Baptistery, which the upper part was never completed, discover why.
Stop At: Duomo di Siena, Piazza del Duomo 8, 53100, Siena Italy
You will arrive in front of the Cathedral. It had to become the largest Cathedral in the world, discover why the project of the “New Cathedral” was abandoned.
If you choose the option with the Cathedral included you will have 30 min. guided visit inside and you can admire the artworks by important Italian artists.
