Ex fish market square: Historic square of the city of Trapani, better known by the Trapani people as “a chiazza”. A place rich in history, smells and voices typical of an ancient market, where every week the fishermen met to sell “freshly caught fish”.
Mura di Tramontana: the fortification system built during the Spanish domination stands where the wind rips through the earth. Below them you will be able to glimpse an enchanting beach, with crystal clear and uncontaminated waters, where it will be possible to take a suggestive swim at sunset. All surrounded by a unique view of the coast of Trapani and Mount Erice.
Bastion Conca: This ancient defensive fortification, located at the end of the walls of Tramontana, for centuries has protected the people of Trapani from the raids of Saracen pirates.
Imperial Bastion: Our journey through history, tasting the flavors of the area, continues along this bulwark whose construction is due to the program to strengthen the city defenses wanted by Emperor Charles V to defend the city.
Torre Ligny: Among the oldest coastal watchtowers in western Sicily, it still has the illusion of defending the city from Barbary incursions. The place, much frequented by the locals, is the perfect point to admire magical sunsets.
Villino Nasi: donated by the citizens to the Hon. Nunzio Nasi, citizen emeritus of the city of Trapani was built in Art Nouveau style. It is located on a thin spit of land, between Torre di Ligny and the Castello della Colombaia, facing the Scoglio Palumbo.
Scoglio Palumbo: The smallest of the Trapani islets, it houses a fixed-optical lighthouse that is still operational today. In its shallow waters there is a vast plain of posidonia which makes it possible to sight some corvina.
Colombaia: Also known as Torre Peliade or Castello di Mare, it is located on a small island at the eastern end of the port of Trapani. It is 32 meters high, made up of four superimposed floors. It is one of the best examples of Norman military architecture in Sicily. An ancient fortress, which is now one of the symbols of the city of Trapani.
