The visit to the volcano at an altitude of 1800m above sea level allows you to see the 2002 eruption. The walking path allows you to visit the ruins of the Hotel delle Betulle, entirely covered in lava and to admire the craters whose eruption destroyed the entire station tourist attraction of Piano Provenzana.
The Alcantara Gorges Botanical and Geological Park are the main attraction of the Alcantara Valley which has allowed considerable tourist development in the area.
