Piazza IX Aprile is the most elegant “living room” of Taormina. From the balcony you can admire a magnificent panorama that includes Etna, the bay of Naxos and the ruins of the ancient theater of Taormina.
It marks the southern part of Corso Umberto I, it is part of the second city wall and its construction dates back to 1440, a date engraved on the aedicule depicting the Aragonese coat of arms in the center above the arch.
