Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park Private E-Bike section

San Vittore Trip Overview

Monte Murano. This mountain for the inhabitants of Serra San Quirico was … explosive! Not because it was a volcano, but because, sheltered from prying eyes, the inhabitants practiced the profession of gunpowder and explosive manufacturers.
Path of the Eagle, ring route (counterclockwise) you pass near the villages of Cerqueto, Vallemania and finally Rosenga, small hamlets where few people live in a relaxing environment.

Itinerary

Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park (S.Vittore – Lago Fossi – Genga)
Departure from SanVittore delle chiuse with meeting point parking in front of the Romanesque church, the route will take place in an incredible mix of natural and historical-artistic beauties. Eagles, kites and hawks are the kings of this area, between gorges and pristine mountains, and it is often easy to see them in flight. A rewarding route, with splendid single tracks immersed in thick hilly-mountainous vegetation.

Technical description: The 38 km route has a pleasant and smooth running, with a couple of fairly demanding climbs and two interesting single track descents. The nature of the park surprises and rewards the ride. Very nice is the Path of the Preacher, of L’Aquila which connects some tiny villages on the Murano mountains (882 meters) and Frasassi (715 meters).

Technical advice: The itinerary develops at modest altitudes and it is not necessary to bring a large supply of water due to the frequent presence of sources. It is necessary to have a windproof jacket, glasses, gloves, backpack. With, or following rain, it is possible to encounter sections with mud.
