Our driver will take you to Piazza del Campo, the main public space of the historic center of Siena, Tuscany, Italy and is regarded as one of Europe’s greatest medieval squares. It is renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity. The Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, as well as various stately palaces surround the shell-shaped square. At the northwest edge is the Fonte Gaia. (1 hour spend in Piazza del Campo)

Siena is a city in Tuscany, Italy. It is the capital of the province of Siena.

The historic center of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. It is one of the nation’s most visited tourist attractions, with over 163,000 international arrivals in 2008. Siena is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape and the Palio, a horse race held twice a year.

The Torre del Mangia is a tower in Siena, in the Tuscany region of Italy. Built in 1338-1348, it is located in the Piazza del Campo, Siena’s premier square, adjacent to the Palazzo Pubblico (Town Hall). When built it was one of the tallest secular towers in medieval Italy. At 102 m, it is second tallest after Cremona’s Torrazzo (112 m (367 ft)) the Asinelli tower in Bologna at 97 m being third.

Siena Cathedral is a medieval church in Siena, dedicated from its earliest days as a Roman Catholic Marian church, and now dedicated to the Assumption of Mary.
It was the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Siena, and from the 15th century that of the Archdiocese of Siena. It is now the seat of the Archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d’Elsa-Montalcino.

The Palio of Asti is a traditional Italian festival of medieval origin that culminates with a bareback horse race.
The race has been run every year since the 13th century. It has taken place every year, with the exception of a period in the 1870s and a 30 year interruption in the 20th century.
Since 1988, the race has taken place in a triangular ‘square’ in the center of Asti, the Piazza Alfieri, on every third Sunday of September.

The Historic Center of San Gimignano sits on a height of land, dominating the surrounding landscape. San Gimignano rises on top of a hill 334m above sea level, clearly visible in the distance with its many towers. Today 13 towers remain of the 72 towers of the fourteenth century, when every well off family built a tower to show its economic power (many of them are still visible in the buildings, even if they were cut off).

San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. At the end of the day our driver will drive it back to Rome (about 2 hours drive).
