A few kilometers from Rome we will spend a very interesting day that will lead us to relive ancient history. Crossing the countryside of the Roman suburbs we will arrive to visit Civita di Bagnoregio, one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, now known as “The dying city”, this medieval village is isolated and can be reached by crossing an imposing pedestrian bridge. Later we will visit Orvieto, a city bristling with a tuff rock with steep walls, a concentration of artistic and landscape works, a real unexpected discovery, mysterious for its underground passages, the famous Adriano caves and its imposing Cathedral.

Departure from your accommodation from Rome with our luxury car, with our English-Spanish speaking driver. During the trip from Rome you will be fascinated by the landscapes of the Lazio countryside, you will be able to observe the cultivated land, the vineyards immersed in the green hills, with splendid medieval towns and villages, perfect for photo shoots. In a short time we will arrive in the enchanting medieval village recently discovered “Civita di Bagnoregio”, founded 2500 years ago by the Etruscans, is a real jewel that unfortunately has suffered devastating effects in the past due to the excessive flow of tourists. The 300 meter long pedestrian bridge is the only way to access the village, built in reinforced concrete because the original bridge had been destroyed during the Second World War. In Civita every corner deserves a photo, the inhabitants in this place are just under fifteen people in total, but the village is always crowded with tourists. Strolling you can visit its souvenir shops, small medieval houses, the church of San Donato, the bishop’s palace, a 16th century mill and much more. During the Christmas period it houses a living nativity scene, the Holy Family, the shepherds, the Three Wise Men and the artisans of Bethlehem of 2000 years who come to life in the narrow alleys of the village.

Continuing our journey we will go to the fascinating Etruscan city of Orvieto. Visiting it will be like going through history over time, par excellence is a true masterpiece, a true natural setting, built on a suggestive and original volcanic tuff rock. The city reached its peak between the sixth and fourth centuries BC, becoming a thriving commercial and artistic center. One of the secrets of Orvieto, are the underground cellars, a true city with several galleries, corridors, wells and ancient cellars dug into the tufa rock over the centuries, which has made it ever more mysterious, beautiful and unique. It is an exceptional example of integration between nature and man, it is enough to mention the relationship between nature and architecture in the famous well of St. Patrick and in the well of Cava. Everything is wonderful, in particular the imposing Gothic cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, one of the most majestic religious buildings of the entire medieval Italian art, with three centuries of almost uninterrupted work, over 20 artists worked there and is divided into various areas, including statues and mosaics, which tell of our past life.
