What makes Taste Rome’s Flavours with Wine, Pizza, Gelato Excursion a unique experience ?

Via del Fori Imperiali was built by Mussolini as part of his bid to tap into the prestige of the Roman empire as he sought to build his fascist rule. Opening the road on horseback in 1932, he led a parade of World War I veterans along it.

It takes its name from Palazzo Venezia, the building constructed in the 15th century by Pietro Barbo and donated by Pius VI to the Republic of Venice for its diplomatic headquarters. The square is dominated by the majestic Vittoriano, a monument dedicated to King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Unification of Italy. The monument houses the Altar of the Fatherland, named for the Unknown Soldier, in honor of all those who died in the war.

Symbol of the Baroque age and of the “Agonalian” games, Piazza Navona is one of the wonders of Rome and one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Built on the track of the Stadium of Domitian, it is close to Campo de’ Fiori and the historic Via dei Coronari. An open-air museum, where you can admire the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi by Bernini or the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone by Borromini, a place of culture and nightlife, where you can stroll among canvases by painters and shows by street artists.

The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world. It was built in 27 BC at the behest of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. Between 112 and 125 A.D., Hadrian had it rebuilt, enlarging it, reversing its orientation, and opening a large porticoed square in front of the new temple.

Piazza di Spagna is one of the most evocative places in the city. The church of the Holy Trinity of the Mountains, located at the top of the monumental staircase of the same name (more commonly known as the Spanish Steps), and the Barcaccia Fountain, by Pietro and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, are the architectural elements that characterize the square, providing a splendid backdrop for fashion shows, floral decorations, and social events.

The Trevi Fountain is one of the most famous and visited fountains in Rome. The statue in the center represents the Greek deity Oceanus on a triumphal chariot pulled by two horses, one calm, the other agitated to indicate the dual nature of the sea. On the sides, the goddess of Salubrity holds a cup from which a snake drinks, and the goddess of Abundance with a horn full of fruit, a symbol of wealth.
