Accompanied by your expert, entertaining guide you will discover all the places where the artist lived, worked and most of all, you will visit places where his masterpieces are housed in Rome: the Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo, the Basilica of St Augustine, and the Church of St. Louis of the French.

What makes Rome: Caravaggio Private Tour with Optional Temporary Exhibition a unique experience ?

ONLY FOR "CARAVAGGIO BASIC OPTION": The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, to St. Denis the Areopagite and St. Louis IX, king of France. The church was designed by Giacomo della Porta and built by Domenico Fontana between 1518 and 1589, and completed through the personal intervention of Catherine de' Medici, who donated to it some property in the area. It is the national church in Rome of France.

ONLY FOR "CARAVAGGIO BASIC OPTION": Sant'Agostino is a Roman Catholic church in the piazza of the same name near Piazza Navona, in the rione Sant'Eustachio, of Rome, Italy. It is one of the first Roman churches built during the Renaissance. Adjacent to the church is the Biblioteca Angelica, a library founded in 1605.

CARAVAGGIO'S TEMPORARY EXHIBITION IS INCLUDED ONLY IN "Caravaggio Special Exhibition" OPTION: Palazzo Barberini, located in Rome, is a splendid example of Baroque architecture that combines art, history, and elegance. Designed by famed architects Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini, this 17th-century palace is now home to the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica, showcasing a rich collection of Renaissance and Baroque paintings. Notable works include Caravaggio's "Judith Beheading Holofernes" and Raphael's "La Fornarina." The palace itself, with its grand staircase, ornate ceilings, and lush gardens, is a masterpiece, making Palazzo Barberini a treasure trove for art lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
