- The Vatican Museums’ visits involve significant walking. Please provide any mobility and wheelchair access requirements. The wheelchair path does not cover all the Museums’ rooms. Also, note that visitors with limited mobility can contact us for special needs, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Wheelchairs and walkers are not allowed in the passage from the Sistine Chapel directly to the Basilica
- Strollers: We suggest avoiding strollers and using a baby sling instead. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has a stroller path. Like wheelchairs and walkers, strollers are not allowed in the passage from the Sistine Chapel directly to the Basilica
- St Peter’s Basilica: on request the tours starting within 2.30 pm can continue to the Basilica only if all visitors can use the stairs and with out wheelchairs, walkers or strollers. In those cases the 3-hours tour will be all inside the Vatican Museum’s . Your guide will coordinate the timing in both cases. If you wish to enter the Basilica, avoid the Wednesday morning tour. The Pope might held the audience in the square, and the Basilica will be open to visitors at 1:00 pm
