Stop At: Pompeii, Pompeii, Province of Naples, Campania

Explore the captivating ruins of Pompeii to uncover the secrets of this Roman port city, buried under ash and rubble during the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Follow your expert guide inside ancient homes, bathhouses and more for a snapshot of daily life nearly 2,000 years ago, followed by a wine tasting and lunch before to visit to the volcano that caused it all.

VISIT MT. VESUVIUS AND ITS CRATER:

Your private english speaking driver with a very nice air-conditioned Mercedes vehicle will take you to the foot of the Mt. Vesuvius crater. Hike the rest of the way up to get sweeping views over the Bay of Naples from an elevation of 1,281 meters, and take a look inside the sometimes still steaming caldera of the volcano. The 20-minute upward hike to the crater takes you through soft volcanic ash and pumice, and the views from the top are worth the effort!Alternatively, you can stay on the ridge of the volcano and admire the views.
