Inside the 17th century Chiesa di Sant’ Ignazio di Loyola, you can admire the spectacular trompe l’oeil ceilings and frescoes depicting St. Ignatius.

The nearby Chiesa del Gesù will also amaze you with its richly decorated interior filled with Renaissance art and “the first truly baroque façade” in Rome.

It is one of Rome’s most visited attractions, so we will provide skip-the-line tickets to save you time. Built in the 2nd century as a mausoleum for emperor Herdian, the Castle of the Holy Angel was later used by the popes as a fortress, castle and prison. In addition to housing a national museum with historic artifacts that include medieval weapons and Renaissance paintings, Castel Sant’Angelo also offers a beautiful view of Rome from its roof terrace.
