Stop At: Orvieto, Orvieto, Province of Terni, Umbria
In about two hours we will reach the town of Orvieto in the beautiful region of Umbria. This beautiful town of Etruscan origin sits on a high cliff overlooking the surrounding countryside. Going through its charming historical center rich with Renaissance and Medieval palaces you will reach Orvieto’s main attraction: the Cathedral, started in 1290, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.

Stop At: Assisi, Assisi, Province of Perugia, Umbria
In about one hour we will then reach Assisi, located on the Western flanks of Mount Subasio. The town is famous for being the home-town of St. Francis founder of the Franciscan religious order. The papal Basilica of San Francesco is one of the most important sanctuaries in the world. The church complex, started in 1228, is a Unesco World Heritage site. Inside you can admire frescoes by the most important Italian painters like Giotto, Cimabue and Simone Martini. The tour will continue visiting Piazza del Comune, the birth-house of Saint Francis and the church of Santa Chiara.
