The sightseeing tour of Rome begins in the heart of the historic center at Largo di Torre Argentina – the spot where Julius Caesar was famously assassinated. We enter the ghetto via the picturesque Piazza Mattei, stopping at the beautiful Fontana delle Tartarughe to admire its three different kinds of colored marble and learning of its romantic past. We immerse ourselves in the history of one of the most ancient Jewish quarters in the world, as the tales of its inhabitants, interwoven with those of Roman citizens are still written on the walls of the neighborhood.

Our route takes us past the synagogue (one of the largest in Europe) as we cross over Tiber Island enjoying fantastic views of Rome’s many bridges, before finally arriving in Trastevere. The most popular, bohemian quarter of the historic center (where you can find the beautiful church of Santa Maria) is occupied by artists, authors and lovers of Roman night life.
