St. Peter’s Basilica is a church built in the Renaissance style located in Vatican City. This is the largest Church in the world and the most important for Christianity.
Designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, it is absolutely worth-seeing, both as a pilgrimage destination and as a cultural visit.

Enjoy a visit to the Papal Grottoes, the vast crypt under St. Peter’s Basilica. Built 3 meters below the level of the Basilica, they are located just under the great altar in the middle of the central nave.
