After viewing the fountain you will have some time for lunch (own expense). Your guide will be happy to recommend an eatery based on your preference, and there are many places to choose from.

Once you have eaten, we’ll move into the Government District which is home to the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. Here you’ll pass the Temple of Hadrian; built in tribute to the great Emperor by his successor, Emperor Antonius Pius.

The tour will then enter Piazza della Rotunda, the location of the Pantheon which houses the tomb of the renowned Renaissance Master Raphael. Moving on, you’ll pass by the ancient Baths of Nero en route to Piazza Navona to witness Bernini’s sensational ‘Fountain of the Four Rivers’.

The last stop on the tour is the Vatican City, where you’ll discover the incredible collections in the Vatican Museums, including frescoes by Raphael, and of course, Michelangelo’s breath-taking ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. You will also view Saint Peter’s Basilica and finally enter Saint Peter’s Square where you can see the exterior of the papal palace.
