What makes Private Pompeii Tour with 3D Virtual Reality Headset – Tour Assistant Only a unique experience ?
Time travel through ancient Pompeii on a unique tour. At the beginning of the tour, a member of the staff will give you a 5 minute training on how to use the virtual reality headsets. Then, you will be ready to go inside the ruins accompanied by a tour assistant. The tour assistant will lead you through the ancient ruins, providing you special 3D headsets re-creating Pompeii in a stunning virtual reality as it was 2,000 years ago before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
Temples, homes, shops, theaters, streets and markets will come to life right before your eyes. You will be able to watch up to 15 3D virtual reality videos. The tour assistant is not a licensed guide, so he/she is not allowed to answer your questions about the archeological site. You can listen to the commentary included in the headsets. Tour assistants speak only Italian and English, however the commentary in the headsets is available in 6 languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Russian.

- This tour uses 3D virtual reality headsets (Samsung/Oculus Gear VR). - Some people (about 1 in 4000) while they are watching TV, playing video games or experiencing virtual reality may have severe dizziness. Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an epileptic condition should consult a doctor before taking our tour.
- Children: It is recommended by the manufacturer that the headsets provided should not be used by children under the age of 13 (Gear VR). Parents allowing their children to use the headsets do so at their own risk and are fully responsible for the safety, health and well-being of their children. Adults should monitor children closely during and after use of the Gear VR for any decrease in these abilities.
- A comfortable tour experience using our headsets requires an unimpaired sense of motion and balance.
