Founded by Countess Elisabetta Giustiniani, wife of Ugo Contini Bonacossi, the cooking school was born with the aim of safeguarding and transmitting the passion for traditional Tuscan cuisine.
Today the Chef will show you the basic concepts of Tuscan cuisine based on the use of extra virgin olive oil and seasonal vegetables; he will assist you in preparing dishes deriving from our oldest culinary tradition, revealing recipes dating back to the Medici era.

Programme
9:30 Buongiorno! Welcome inside the Wine shop and Welcome coffee
10:00 Let’s meet the Chef! We move to the family kitchen inside the Medicean Villa to meet the Chef who will accompany us during the day.
10:15 Aprons on! Arriving in the kitchen, we prepare 4 seasonal dishes together, all typical Tuscan. Our school allows the preparation of an appetizer, two first courses, a second course with side dish and a dessert. While we cook, we taste some Capezzana wines.
13:00 Tutti a tavola! Once finished in the kitchen we go to the dining room where we eat with some members of the Contini Bonacossi family and drink other wines from the estate.
14:30 Tour – We visit our historic cellars and tell the story of the production of Capezzana wine and oil.
