Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Borgo Storico Erice, Via Salerno, 91016, Erice, Sicily Italy

A site of unforgettable beauty characterizes Erice, an ancient Phoenician and Greek city, perched at a height of 751 m on the mountain of the same name, crowned by a triangular plateau with a terrace overlooking the sea.

Defended by ramparts and walls, the city is a labyrinth of cobbled streets and passages so narrow as to allow the passage of a single man. The houses, closed to each other, have pretty and well-kept internal courtyards, defended and protected from the sight of passers-by so that family life takes place in complete intimacy

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Chiesa Madre – Duomo di Erice, Piazza Matrice, 91016, Erice, Sicily Italy

The Cathedral was built in 1312 by Frederick III of Aragon before returning to Palermo, as a thank you to the city that had hosted it in a moment of political crisis. For its construction, material from the temple of Venus was also used, in fact in the external wall, south side of the church, you can admire the nine stone tiles, in the shape of a cross, coming from the temple.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Castello di Venere, Largo Castello, 91016, Erice, Sicily Italy

The Castle stands in the same place where the sanctuary dedicated to the female divinity of fecundity was once located. A place of worship that in ancient times attracted people from all over the Mediterranean. Over the centuries the cult remained the same, while the female name of the goddess changed: at the time of the Phoenicians Astarte was venerated, with the Greeks Aphrodite and then with the Romans it passed to the cult of Venus.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Giardini del Balio, Viale Conte Pepoli, 91016, Erice, Sicily Italy

Strolling through the streets of the village you will suddenly find yourself in a beautiful garden. You will have the feeling that you have crossed a border without realizing it. The viali del Balio, in a sort of embrace that makes this place unique, intertwine with the streets, courtyards and ramps that make up the urban fabric of the medieval village.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Tempio di Segesta, Contrada Barbaro SNC, 91013 Calatafimi-Segesta, Sicily Italy

The exceptional nature of this place also lies in the fact that even today, the most unique case that is rare in Sicily and beyond, it appears to the many who arrive as it appeared to the travelers of the Grand Tour. The whole area has remained almost the same: vast hills destined for sowing or grazing, modest mountains animated by few trees. Few recent constructions.
Already from afar, along the state road or the motorway towards Trapani, the temple, isolated in the middle of a sea of hills, is striking for its grandeur.
