Borgo di Scopello is a medieval village in western Sicily that extends around a small seventeenth-century beam. The center is guarded by a quadrilateral structure, a typical building of Arab origin, very common among the farms and the Trapani countryside.
There are very few houses that overlook it, caressed by the presence of Piazza Nettuno, the beating heart and theater of shows.
The context is enriched by a fountain, an ancient drinking trough for animals, embellished by a recent restoration work.
Another characterizing element is the flooring.
A huge arch marks the entrance to the Baglio Isonzo and opens the doors to the presence of a centuries-old oak, a witness to past civilizations.
Here you can have lunch. Enjoy delicacies and typical products. Impossible not to taste the “pane cunzato”, true street food or the “cassatella”, a sweet ricotta sheet.
