Unlike most of the towns on the coast, it is not located on the sea: to get there you need to deviate from the coastal road between Amalfi and Maiori and go up a few kilometres. The municipality of Ravello stands out from the other coastal towns for its quieter atmosphere: being far from the sea and the beaches it is never crowded like Positano or Amalfi. Especially in the evening there are few tourists wandering through its streets.
