Tour 3 Option: Milan – All Its History In Just A Walk (English Fri 10am Sat 10am 3:30pm Sun 3:30pm):

Let’s start with a simple comparison: what makes Milan so different from other Italian cities, Florence for example?

The answer: Milan has always been ALIVE over the centuries. If you see that in a city center there are only medieval buildings or renaissance palaces, that’s because the city died after that period and people didn’t have enough money or power to improve and modify the city again. Milan is different, though!

From the Roman times to the present day, Milan has always been an important city, so just by walking a few meters you can encounter the remaining of a Roman wall, then a Baroque palace, and then again a modern building.

This is my goal: to give a view of this magnificent city through the ages, in order to show that in all this time it has gathered an extraordinary artistic heritage!

These are the main stops of our walk through the city center (other monuments will be shown along the way):

1) Church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore

2) Piazza Affari/business square

3) Church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro

4) Ossuary of San Bernardino alle ossa (closed on Sunday, that day we’ll visit just the church)

5) Church of San Carlo al Corso

6) Piazza del Liberty/Liberty square

7) Square and church of San Fedele

8) Piazza Mercanti/merchants square

Duration: 2 hours 45 minutes
