What makes Kid-Friendly Private Walking Guided Tour in Lecce a unique experience ?

Piazza Duomo is the historical heart of the city and it is framed by various important buildings, such as the Duomo, the Episcopal Palace, the Ancient Seminary and the Bell Tower. Here is the starting point of the tour.

The majestic Duomo of Lecce is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It was built during the 17th century by Giuseppe Zimbalo and is characterized by two facades, one of which is richly decorated. We will not enter the church.

As you explore the square, our expert local guide will tell you all about the great campanile (bell tower) overlooking the square with its 70 meters of height.

You will reach this important square dedicated to the patron saint of Lecce, Sant’Oronzo, who protected the city from a plague epidemic. Here, see the remarkable Roman amphitheater and the Renaissance Palazzo Sedile.

The Basilica di Santa Croce is one of the main landmarks of Lecce. This church is a stunning example of the peculiar Lecce Baroque style. The facade is breathtaking: its rich decorations and its elegant rose window will dazzle you.

Stop at the triumphal arch that, together with Porta San Biagio and Porta Rudiae, marked the entrance points to the city center.

This peculiar obelisk, made with Lecce stone, was built in the 19th century and the symbols carved on each side represent Brindisi, Gallipoli, Lecce and Taranto.
