Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy

Your tour will start admiring the Vatican Museums and Upper Galleries, including the one of the Maps, Tapestries, and Candelabra. The galleries are connecting the north section of the Vatican Palace with the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica of St. Peter’s. The rooms preserved many Roman statues discovered during the excavations and many spectacular painted rooms.

Stop At: Sistine Chapel, Viale Vaticano, 00165 Vatican City Italy

Then, you will enter the Sistine Chapel, where you will admire Michelangelo’s Frescoes painted in the 1500s for the Pope Julius II and Paul III; Michelangelo first painted the Ceiling where he represented the Creation of the World, from the Genesis book, and stories of Noah’s life. The Renaissance “Genius” when he was 61 years old he will come back to paint in five years only Last Judgement on the wall behind the altar.

Stop At: St. Peter’s Basilica, Piazza San Pietro, 00120 Vatican City Italy

After the Sistine Chapel, you will approach St. Peter’s Basilica, which was built from the 1506 and it has replaced the Medieval Basilica built under Emperor Constantine. The Basilica was built in 120 years by many architects including Raphael and Michelangelo. The inside decoration of the Basilica is very Baroque thanks to the “Genius of the Baroque Gian Lorenzo Bernini who projected the “Altar of the Chair of St. Peter” and the Baldachin. Inside the Basilica there is a beautiful chapel where is preserved the Michelangelo’s Pieta. The artists represent this painful moment with the body of Jesus laying on the laps of his mother after the deposition from the Cross.

Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy

Your tour will proceed to The Colosseum, with the special access to the Arena Floor. You will access to the iconic monument of Rome through the Gladiator’s entrance and step right in the middle of the stage where the Gladiators did their combats.

Stop At: Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Trevi, 00187 Rome Italy

After having left the Colosseum, your private driver will take you to Trevi Fountain. It is a must-see place if you come to Rome: the fountain of the lovers but also of all those who wish to come back one day in the Eternal City. The fountain water comes from an ancient Roman aqueduct of the “Aqua Virgo”. Do not forget to toss a coin in the fountain to ensure your return to Rome!

Then, your driver will take you to Piazza Venezia. The square is famous for its spectacular monument dedicated to the Italian king Victor Emmanuel II and for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Finally, you will reach the Pantheon, which is one of the most incredible roman monuments still standing. Rebuilt under Emperor Hadrian in the II century, the temple was dedicated to 7 Gods. It became a church in the VII century but it is still preserving the original Roman marble and structure. The Pantheon has an open Dome that allows the rain to come into the church but thanks to the Roman drainage system it has never flooded.
