This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Join Antonella at her home kitchen, the kitchen of a professional chef. She has every specialized tool imaginable and a drawer with knives that would make any Master Chef jealous. During your cooking lesson, you will make an appetizer or soup, main dish and dessert from scratch. When you arrive, the kitchen table will already be set with the ingredients for the first recipe. While you begin to put everything together according to Antonella’s verbal instructions, she will share with you intriguing tidbits about cooking and baking in Tuscany. You will learn to cook 3-4 authentic, vegetarian Tuscan dishes and enjoy them together at the dining table after cooking. Enjoy dishes such as cecina, a chickpea flour flatbread, minestrone (seasonal vegetable soup) or ribollita (a hearty Tuscan winter soup of beans, vegetables and bread) and eggplant Parmigiana (fried eggplant in a rich mozzarella and tomato sauce). Your meal will conclude with a dessert like ricotta and chocolate crostata. Antonella has an equally delicious menu for vegans so please let her know your preference when booking.
