Your tour takes you past the “Porcellino” (little pig) market, and on to Florence’s oldest bridge, the Ponte Vecchio. You’ll learn about the bridge’s rich history, and how the Vasari Corridor dramatically changed the shops that line the bridge.

It is then on to the political centre of Florence, the Piazza della Signoria. The Uffizi, dominating one side of the square was formerly the offices of the Grand Dukes of the city and the former seat of the government of Florence, the Palazzo Vecchio is located on the other side of the square.

Away from the crowds you take a walk through one of the oldest parts of Florence to see the tower houses from the 1300s and arrive at the Piazza Duomo to marvel at the Cathedral with its unique marble decoration and of course Brunelleschi’s Dome.
The tour guide will take you to the front of the Baptistery to see its magnificent Porta del Paradiso together with Giotto’s bell tower, an excellent example of 1300s architecture.
