Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1 – Welcome to the Eternal City

Stop At: Rome, Rome, Lazio
• Meet and greet with English-speaking driver at FCO airport’s terminal and transfer to centrally located Rome hotel
• Check-in and free time to relax
• Meet and greet with tour guide at hotel lobby and begin walking tour of Rome highlights: Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Navona square.

Stop At: Rome, Rome, Lazio
• Pickup from Navona square and transfer to restaurant for a pizza-making experience. Enjoy how to make pizza with the guidance of a professional Napoletan chef. Learn the technique to make pizza in the traditional Napoletan way and sit down to enjoy the results!
You will prepare the dough with your own hands, season the pizza and bake it inside a wood-fired oven.

Day 2: Day 2 – Rome Highlights in One Day

Pass By: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
• 8:15 AM – Hotel pickup with professional English-speaking driver and deluxe vehicle
• Transfer to the Colosseum to meet your tour guide
• Enter the Colosseum with your skip the line tickets and tour the iconic monument of Rome
• Walk through the archaeological site of the Roman Forum and learn about the history of ancient Roman temples and mausoleums. All beautifully preserved!

Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy
• Transfer to the Vatican city and walk past the huge entry line, directly to the security check point with your VIP tickets.
• Tour the most important galleries of the Vatican musems, enter and gasp at the beauty of the Sistine Chapel and admire the greatness of St. Peter’s Basilica.
• Once the tour is finished, you will have some free time to shop in the official Vatican gift store and you will be accompanied, by one of our colleagues, to have lunch in a traditional Roman restaurant. You will enjoy 2 courses and 1 desert of authentic Roman cuisine.

Day 3: Day 3 – Trastevere Undergrounds + Jewish Quarter and Food Tasting

Stop At: Rome, Rome, Lazio
• 9:00 AM – Hotel pickup and transfer to Piazza Sonnino, where you will meet the archeologist/tour guide that will walk you accross the Tiber island, to visit the great Synagogue in the Jewish ghetto, as well as the beautiful Piazza Mattei famous for the turtles fountain.

Stop At: Trastevere, 00153 Rome Italy
• After the Jewish ghetto, you will visit the undergrounds and dungeons of ancient churches in Trastevere (one of the oldest and authentic neighbourhoods in Rome). This is where the early Christians gathered to pray and where you can admire ancient underground cemeteries that are unknown to most of the locals in Rome! Most of these cemeteries are closed to the public and are accessible only with special permissions that are issued to archaeologist that work for the ministry of tourism and cultural heritage. You will be among the lucky ones to participate in this unique experience.
• Once the undeground tour is finished, a local food expert will meet you in Trastevere and take you on a food tour around the most important neighborhood of Rome in terms of gastronomy and food culture. In true Roman style, you will stand behind food counters and taste our signature dishes such as: Suppli, fried artichokes, thin crust pizza, different types of pasta, coffee and delicious deserts! ( snack fees not included, at your own expense ). At the same time, the local expert will explain the most important attractions of Trastevere as well as the history of its traditional dishes.

Day 4: Day 4 – Tivoli and Panoramic Driving Tour of Rome Hidden Treasures

Stop At: Tivoli, Tivoli, Province of Rome, Lazio
• 9:00 AM – Hotel pickup and transfer to Tivoli (50 minutes drive) to visit Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Este: This is the ideal tailor-made tour that will take you away from the city chaos of Rome, for an inspiring countryside & cultural experience in Tivoli. This small town, located approximately 50 minutes drive from Rome, is home to Villa Adriana (Hadrian’s villa) and Villa d’Este which are both UNESCO World Heritage sites and masterpieces of opulence and delight.

Stop At: Rome, Rome, Lazio
After a 4 hours tour, you will be dropped off back in Rome for a lunch break. ( lunch fee not included )
• After lunch, you will begin a driving tour of Rome’s hidden treasures with English-speaking chauffeur/guide and luxury transportation. You will enjoy a breathtaking city view from the garden of the oranges in the Aventine hill, watch through the famous keyhole, drive through the ancient Appian way and visit the Basilica of San Clemente.
• After the 3 hour car disposal, drop-off at the hotel.
