The museum has many famous artworks, the most famous being of course the legendary, youthful statue of David, which became the enduring image of the Republic of Florence.  Take time to walk around this collosal statue and appreciate its true magnificence from every angle. 
In addition to David, the Accademia houses several incomplete works by Michelangelo as well as other artworks by Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, and Andrea del Sarto to name a few.

After that, you’ll make your way to the magnificent Piazza Duomo. The stunning Cathedral sits at its centre, with beautiful, unique marble engravings. And towering above everything is Brunelleschi’s Dome, a wonder of Renaissance architecture and an enduring symbol of Renaissance Florence.
