Walk about ten minutes through the picturesque alleyways of Rome. As you are mesmerized by the spellbinding streets, you will suddenly be greeted by an unbelievable structure right in the center of Rome – the Pantheon. Incredibly well preserved for over 2000 years, the Pantheon is one of the most sacred places in Rome. This temple was built between 25 and 27 BC, and legend says, it was where Romulus was taken by an eagle to heaven after death. As you enter the temple, you will notice the complexity of the perfectly sphere shape, and the contrast of light as it shines through the dome. Of all the monuments in Italy, the Pantheon is by far the most inspirational – giving ideas to the likes of Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, and others. Spend some time admiring the impressive Pantheon and taking plenty of photos before hopping back onto the bus.
