We start by passing the Catania waterfront, from where we can see the stacks of Acitrezza
Stop At: Funivia dell’Etna, Località Cantoniera – Etna Sud, 95030 Nicolosi CT, Italy
Once you reach the Sapienza Refuge (1900m) you will reach an altitude of 2900m with the cable car. Therefore, a walk of about one hour (easy level) is planned, with a privileged view of the view of the summit craters, and the achievement of a spectacular view of the majestic Caldera Volcanica Valle del Bove. During the journey, cold spots (glaciers covered by volcanic sand) and hot spots (manifestations of the cooling of the 2002 eruptive fracture) will be visible and palpable.
