Trek past volcanic craters, ancient lava flows that give the volcano a lunar landscape, the breathtaking beauty of Etna's landscapes under the soft glow of the morning sun. I will lead you through ancient forests, past extinct craters, and across the moon-like lava fields that testify to Etna's dynamic nature. We will visit a volcanic cave, a lava tube and I will share the rich geological history of Mount Etna with the breathtaking view of the Valle del Bove. We'll cap off the morning's adventure with a visit to a traditional Sicilian farm, where you can indulge in a tasting of local products and wines. Etna Morning Tour is the best ETNA tour to visit the volcano in a short time but in a complete way and discover its fascinating natural landscapes. This Etna excursion departing from Catania and surrounding areas, you will have the opportunity to visit the highest and most active volcano in Europe. From the meeting place, defined at the time of booking the tour, you will leave with our vehicles (or with your own car) for a unique experience. Surrounded by a landscape, sometimes lunar, we will try to get to know and explore Etna, a World Heritage Site, famous for its beauty and uniqueness. Difficulty: Easy Maximum altitude: about 2100 m; Duration of the trek: about 1.5 / 2 hours; Height difference: about 100 m. In the event of adverse weather conditions or real security risks, the route can be changed!! Other things to keep in mind: The duration of the experience is indicative. Unpredictable situations could cause the experience to end later than expected. It is always better not to make the day of the experience coincide with the date of your flight, if the scheduled time is too close to your departure/arrival. It is important to wear hiking shoes or that you are not afraid to get dirty.

ETNA IN JEEP includes: Pickup at 8/8:30 near your Hotel / accommodation in Catania where you will meet the Environmental Guide who will support you on board the Jeep during the excursion. Arrival on Etna after about an hour, visit to a lava flow cave with torches and helmets provided, 10 minute stop in a bar, followed by a 2-hour trek to the Silvestri craters, at 12.30 you will be offered a tasting and a soft lunch The excursion is easy to use and the presence of the Environmental Guide ensures a trek modulated according to the abilities of all participants. EtnaGrantour is dedicated to those who want to experience the most complete visit possible with only one day available. Generally excursions on Etna are offered in half a day with the visit of a single slope. Etna Grantour allows you to get to know 3 slopes of Etna Park starting from the Etna villages up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. Il Mattino we will dedicate to Trekking (about 2/3 hours) on the trails of the Etna park. After the "fatigues" of the walk, you will therefore have earned a refreshment stop based on local specialties. In the afternoon we will continue aboard the off-road vehicles for a 4×4 safari on off-road routes. You will also see: – The barren lava fields of ancient and recent castings – The pioneer and endemic vegetation of the lavas – Tourist locations destroyed by eruptions – The side craters extinguished with a button panel – The majestic caldera of the Valle del Bove – A volcanic cave of lava flow (lava tube)

Our trip crosses right through the Etna Regional Park to reach 2000m altitude on the highest active volcano in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. Our tour leader will explain all the natural features and history of Etna. The journey includes visits in safe conditions to panoramic craters, no longer active and a cave if good visibility and wearing solid hiking shoes. You will have the opportunity to take pictures of the stunning moonscapes and enjoy a tasting of local produce, such as honey, wine, olive oil and more, at a farm shop. On request at booking it is possible to combine a trip to Taormina or a visit to a winery with a light lunch. We won't be taking you on a crowded bus or van – the maximum number is 6 people in the same vehicle. In order to provide a high quality service, we need to receive reservations not later than 4 days before the tour. Bookings arriving later cant be accepted.

Pick up from your accomodation at 9.00 am with guide's private car. We will arrive at 2000m above sea level. We'll have a easy walking through ancient craters, lava cave, amazing volcanic landscapes with explanations from the guide. During the morning visit you'll discovering and feel the amazing Etna's volcanic dynamics, surrounded by a lunar landscape. We will move in a pistachio farm to have lunch with typical sicilian dishes and pistachio products. The visit continues to see and know how and where this incredible plants grow! Starting from Catania, one our guide will lead you along a beautiful naturalistic path, while explaining the origins of our  Volcano. At 2000 mt you will catch cable car to reach 2500 mt and then on a 4×4 vehicle you will go up 2950 mt. Alpine guides will show you the beautiful landscape of the base of the summit craters seeing at 1 km of distance the main crater. * In winter time, in case the trails are covered by a thick layer of snow (usually from January to March), part of the excursion will take place using snowshoes and sticks. It could be possible that you will go on the snow cat vehicle with an extra cost of 30 euro per person. Then, join with us the visit of a cave of volcanic origins with all the equipment provided by us. At lunchtime enjoy an outdoor picnic made of Sicilian typical street food, water, red wine and typical sweets.
