CATANIA between (STREET) FOOD, art and culture – walking tour with licensed guide

Catania Trip Overview

This is a walking tour to discover our culinary traditions and street food. The streets of Catania offer unique flavors, smells and colors, but to fully enjoy them you have to experience the city with a licensed local guide. The Catania diner is a real institution. A must in the bars and takeaways of the city is a cross between snacks and street food, a snack that can very well be a meal. The king of the table is the arancino, but there are many other specialties such as onion and Sicilian. And what about sandwiches with meatballs and scacciate? Or crispelle with ricotta and anchovy or honey? Together with the guide you will choose what to taste.
Along the way it is mandatory to stop at a historic kiosk to taste the mandarin with lemon or the lemon and salt seltz. A cannoli or a cassatella will end our experience on a sweet note.
You can find us at the GS infopoint in Piazza Duomo, on the corner with Via Merletta: come and visit us!
