Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Castel del Monte, Strada Statale 170, 76125, Andria Italy

In the shadow of Castel del Monte along a ring route through the typical “blades” of Puglia. Immersed in the Alta Murgia National Park, we will meet farms, jazzi, straw stacks and ancient cisterns along cattle tracks, forest paths and mule tracks.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cava di Bauxite, Spinazzola Italy

We are not in the Grand Canyon, not even in Australia, but in a suggestive and rare landscape made in Murgia. The quarries are mainly rusty red with splashes of pink as bauxite is a mineral composed mainly of iron and aluminum oxides and hydroxides. Going inside one of them you can admire the peculiarity of this place, an atypical natural spectacle.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Castello del Garagnone, Poggiorsini Italy

Defined as an invisible castle (because it was cleverly built on a rocky outcrop and from materials coming from the heights). From its summit the view extends for kilometers in the colorful Fossa Bradanica, a valley in which mainly clayey deposits emerge and where the Basentello and Roviniero streams flow. Here we are at the center of a castle network controlling the Murgian territory, visible from the front on a hill is Monteserico, the solitary castle, and behind us, the Castel del Monte.
