What to Expect When Visiting Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

If you are tired of the city center, the best way to have a local experience is through food! we are in a silent and wonderful countryside on the Bolognese hills, the company will give you the opportunity to carry out traditional Bolognese cooking lessons, together with a qualified chef, having fun and meeting new people from all over the world !!

The activity takes place 15 km from the city center of Bologna, in an organic farm, you will prepare traditional Bolognese dishes. We will prepare traditional dishes by mixing eggs and flour, pulled by hand, seasoned with traditional sauces, prepared by us, once the preparation is finished you will taste what is prepared in the garden or inside our house. You will also prepare a traditional dessert that you will take home.
we organize seasonal courses and based on these we decide together what to prepare and learn during the cooking class.
the activity starts at 2.30 pm, when we will meet in the city center, in via Santo Stefano 14, we will take you to the Bolognese hills 15 km from Bologna, and the activity will end around 6 pm, then you will taste the dishes prepared until 7 am , 30 pm, time when we will take you back to the city center.

• tagliatelle with ragu – tipical dish of the Bolognese cuisine, pasta made from scratch, generally eaten with the ragù sauce, or tomato sauce or with the mushrooms.
• tortellini – home made pasta filled with meat, normally served with meat broth or with Parmigiano cream
• tortelloni – home made pasta bigger than the tortellini, filled wit ricotta cheese and parsley, or spinaches, or pumpink, or mortadella and ricotta.
• Bolognese caliper – typical cake from the hills of Bologna, that you will prepare with three differents jams made from us, cinnamon and raisins
• raviole – typical biscuits from Bologna, filled with jams made from us
• Grandmother’s cake – tipical cake from Bologna, with yellow cream, pine nuts, pastry
• noodles – typical Bolognese dish, pasta rolled with a rolling pin served with sauce with meat sauce or tomato sauce or mushrooms and cream
• tortellini – typical Bolognese first course, stuffed with meat, mortadella and nutmeg, served with meat broth or cream
• tortelloni – bigger than tortellini, stuffed with ricotta and parsley, ricotta, spinach, or pumpkin, or mortadella, served with melted butter and sage
• Bolognese caliper – Bolognese tart typical of the hills with 3 types of different jam, cinnamon and raisins
