Sagrantino is one of the most famous wines of Umbria and it is surely one of the most well known in the world. The routes of Sagrantino will bring you to one of the most well-conserved landscapes in Italy.
Discover the secrets of Sagrantino, an original grapevine brought to Umbria from Asia by the Franciscan friars. It is cultivated exclusively in this small part of Umbria and it was awarded in 1992 with the DOCG denomination. The very center of the Sagrantino area is the city of Montefalco around which this wine tour will be focused. From April to October, you will enjoy the flavors and scents of Umbria.
During the tour, after the visit of these small villages, visit the best wineries, and cellars where experts will guide you through the tasting of some of the best wines and cultivar of the world. A light lunch or a “merenda” with local products (depending on the time of the tour) will be the cherry on top of your tasting experience.
