This excursion includes an itinerary in stages to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the reserve of the Etna Park up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. Thanks to the experience of our staff, on board of 4×4 vehicles you will live an interesting and at the same time fun experience. Starting from the lava flows that threatened entire villages, we will visit the extinct craters and the viewpoint of the majestic Valle del Bove. We will descend into the meanders of the volcano visiting a lava flow cave (lava tube) equipped with a helmet and speleologist lights. The tour will end with a tasting of Sicilian specialties. IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have a car we recommend that you reach our meeting point in Trecastagni in MontataGrande. LANGUAGE: During the high season there may be overbooking of reservations for one language. In this case, a tour leader speaking the selected language will be guaranteed in the scheduled stages of the tour.

We propose to spend a day with us in a small friendly group to discover a beautiful nature, endemic flora and fauna and the amazing environment of Mount Etna. We will pick you up in the morning in the certain meeting point (8.30 piazza Stesicoro 32, Catania or 9.15 piazza S.Alfio in Trecastagni – PLEASE SPECIFY WHERE). On the way to Etna we will stop on a village for a coffee break and to buy food for the lunch time. We will drive to reach the altitude of 2.000 above sea level. At this altitude we will start our moderate hike off the beaten tracks (approx. 3 hours) to admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest caldera of Mount Etna and its moon like deserts. From there we will enjoy breathtaking views of the summit craters and the surrounding landscapes facing the Ionian Sea. The Etna sunset excursion is one of the most suggestive summer tours, as it allows you to visit, aboard our 4 × 4, some of the most interesting places on Etna until sunset. You will admire the Valle del Bove, an immense amphitheater that tells the geological history of the volcano. You will walk on the edge of some side craters where you can admire the panorama from 2000 meters and the extinguished lava flows of various eras. Finally, you will admire the colors of the Etna sunset while enjoying a sweet aperitif based on almond and raisin wine.
