I will take you for a wonderful walk and show you historical Cafes, local deli, mediaeval alleys, secret medieval caves and the "the oldest bank of the world". The main attraction are: – The lookout where you will see the entire city – Piazza Salimbeni – Piazza del Campo – Piazza Tolomei – Panoramic View of the Cathedral – Traditional food tasting with Chianti & Prosecco On this tour you will try some local food and wine like the famous Chianti, Pecorino cheese, bruschetta and homemade pasta known as pici. We will discover together the myths, legends, and secrets of this medieval town and see iconic neighborhoods and streets where locals spend their time with friends and family.

Siena is a treasure trove of historical, artistic, religious and cultural riches all to be discovered. The best way to do it is on foot, admiring the changes to the town over the centuries and enjoying the spectacular scenery and curious particulars. With an authorized guide you will be able to appreciate the major tourist attractions like Piazza del Campo, the true heart of the town, the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), the Cathedral and the majestic Basilica of San Domenico. In Piazza Duomo stands the imposing Cathedral of Siena and right here you will begin the visit. After an introduction about the extraordinary façade decorated with statues depicting philosophers, prophets and sibyls that seem to talk to each other, your guide will tell you the story of why the Cathedral was unfortunately left unfinished.The visit continues inside, where you will have the opportunity to admire the inlaid marble mosaic floor, the wonderful statues of Michelangelo, the Chapel of St. John the Baptist that houses a work realized by Donatello, the Chigi Chapel of Bernini, frescoes and paintings. The visit inside the beautiful Piccolomini Library is an unique experience. The frescoes realized by Pinturicchio and Raffaello depict scenes of the life of Enea Silvio Piccolomini who became Pope Pius II. During the period when the floor has been uncovered, the guide will also show and explain you some of the panels under the dome designed by the Sienese artist Domenico Beccafumi.
