Join with us the Mt Etna & Taormina tour! This excursion gives you the opportunity to visit two of the most attractive places in Sicily in just one day! Following a hiking route up to 2000 meters, you will have the chance to admire forests, craters, lava formations, and scenic views of the mountain. You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment provided from us (helmets and torches). After the trekking, you will stop at a nice Chalet, where you will enjoy a snack with sandwiches or, according to the weather conditions, you will do an outdoor picnic with typical Sicilian Street food. The lunch will be accompanied by water and local red Etna wine. Then we will move to the beautiful town of Taormina. Relax yourself having a walk along Corso Umberto, buying some souvenirs for your relatives and friends, discovering the magic of the Greek Theater, or simply taking pictures of the beautiful landscape. Ascending the southern slope of Mount Etna, we will cross the lava flow of 1983 and 2002, and see up close its destructive effects. We will reach an altitude of 2.000 meters, where you can visit the Silvestri Craters originated from the eruption of 1892. Here you will walk on the edge of the craters, admiring the breathtaking landscape. On the way back, we will stop in a Honey Farm where you can learn the procedures for production of organic honey and taste varieties of honey and many other typical products like extra virgin olive oil, wine, Sicilian pesto etc. In Taormina, you will walk through the town enjoying the beauty of the historical center and the city's main attractions (Greek Theater, Cathedral, Belvedere Square). Afterwords, we will visit the characteristic medieval village of Castelmola with its Cathedral and the main square with its wonderful view on Mount Etna. An almost compulsory stop is Turrisi Coffee Shop, where it is possible to taste a special almond wine.

Perched on a clifftop overlooking two sweeping bays, the town of Taormina is one of the prettiest in Italy. Dating back as far as 358 BC, it’s home to some of the most well-preserved buildings, medieval courtyards and historic landmarks in this corner of the world. This trip starts with some free time to wander around. Sip a cappuccino in the Piazza Nove Aprile, browse the chic boutiques, or check out the town’s star attraction – its ancient Greek-Roman theatre. Once you’ve had your fill of sightseeing, it’s on to Mt Etna – Europe’s highest volcano. Its summit measures up at 3,330 metres above sea level, but the coach will only take you up to 1,900 metres. When you get there, if you want you can grab a cable car or ATV and journey up to 2,900 metres.

We spend here few time to visit the places, then we drive 5 min down to Taormina, the ancient greek colony, with its amazing pedestrian path (the ancient roman “valeria” road), the greek theatre, the monuments, the shops, the famous restaurants and pubs and more else. You spend in Taormina 1 or 2 hours, as you like, then we drive back to Messina (or Catania) for a quick city tour. Then we will drive you to the dock or others places you prefer, in time for departure.
